101 Dalmatians X Cath Kidston

101 Dalmatians X Cath Kidston

If you are a Disney fan (or just follow me on Instagram!) then you will most likely know that Cath Kidston recently released their latest collaboration with Disney. I haven’t purchased any items from previous collections as I didn’t have enough money at the time – the collections are quite pricey. As much as it I wish I had some of the pieces from the Winnie the Pooh collection, I am so happy to have some pieces from the latest collection! I am a little bit obsessed with it at the moment.

I absolutely loved the look of the collection from the sneak previews posted months ago. The launch date landed just after my pay day which worked massively in my favour as the previous month all my money went on Disneyland Paris. I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted or if I wanted anything but I was sat ready for the launch just incase.

Being unprepared in what I wanted didn’t work in my favour. I was on the site 5 minutes before the official launch time of 7 but I still ended up in a queue because I couldn’t decide what to order! The queue system was a good idea in theory but everytime I would get through to the site it was crashing when I put an item in my basket which resulted in me being back in the queue. It took several attempts to finally get the items into my basket but I got there in the end! It definitely helped that I created an account before the launch and put in my address details.

The website still has a lot of the collection available online which is amazing considering how quickly the previous collections sold out. They also seem to have a really good selection available in stores still as well. So if you havent gotten your hands on anything from the collection yet, there is still some time!

I had debated whether to order one of the bags a lot. I didn’t know which one I wanted and couldn’t make my mind up. I had decided on the backpack but I didn’t want to order it as it was £60 and I was worried I wouldn’t like it as much as I thought I did from just seeing the photo online. I instead made a few slightly smaller purchases during the pre-sale.

The first item I got was the ‘Button Spot Dalmatian Continental Wallet’ which is now unfortunately sold out online and I can see why. I absolutely love it! It was rather pricey at £38.00 but worth every penny. It is quite a large purse which means it has plenty of space for cards, notes and coins. I have never seen a purse with so many different sections which I love. The design is ridiculously cute and I am so happy I decided to get it. I know I’ll have the purse for years and I’ll definitely get my moneys worth. Also how cute is the tag!

I also purchased one of the mugs. The mug I purchased is no longer available online but maybe in some stores. They do still have this mug online which is the same price as it is £10.  The puppies just look so cute with the rose pattern! My personal favourite is the puppy in the last photo sitting on the rose, can you get any more adorable. It is such a nice size and came extremely well packaged. It was wrapped in what felt like a mile of bubble wrap!

The last item I ordered in the pre-sale is a notebook which cost £14. I love stationary and I adore the rose pattern from the collection so I couldn’t resist the A4 notebook. It is even more beautiful than I thought it would be.

Remember I said I couldn’t decide whether to get one of the bags? Well… my parents kindly bought me the backpack from the Cath Kidston store and I absolutely love it! The backpack design is absolutely beautiful and I love the style of the bag itself. I have only had the bag about a week and I have already used it several times. The bag has a pocket at the front which I use to keep the things I am most likely to need access to such as my phone and my new purse!

The main part of the backpack is divided into two sections. The back zip opens to padded section which is perfect to protect a laptop/tablet. It means if I want to use it for work I can which is great.

The front section opens up to the main part of the bag. There is so much space in the backpack that I can easily fit everything I would need for travelling or a full day out. Most importantly it fits my camera. I used it during a day out over bank holiday weekend and I could easily fit everything in including my camera and a light jacket.

The zips to the different compartments zip quite far down the side of the bag which makes it really easy to see everything inside. I also like that it has the little button to keep the two handles together.

I am so happy with the bag, it is easily one of my favourite pieces of Disney merchandise. It is so spacious, comfy to wear and beautiful of course! The design is stunning and I can see it lasting a really long time.

If you hadn’t already noticed I am a huge fan of this collection. Whilst it is pricey, I still couldn’t seem to resist it and I’m glad I didn’t. The items are so beautiful and are great quality. Let me know in the comments if you got any of the pieces from the 101 Dalmatians X Cath Kidston collection!
